Many food plots are less than one acre, while local feed-and-seed suppliers offer several fertilizer formulas. This calculator estimates how many fifty-pound bags to use without unnecessary overfertilization. A good approximate acre is 70 yards by 70 yards, or about 4,900 square yards. A soil test gives the best result.
